Spent 2 hours on a "simple" CSS sun that looked like a fried egg until I tried conic-gradient
I was trying to make a sun for a little park scene using radial-gradient and box-shadow tricks, but the rays all blurred together and the thing looked like a breakfast plate instead of a sun. Then I swapped the rays to a repeating conic-gradient with a tiny angle, and it finally snapped into sharp points that actually looked like a drawing. Why do so many of us reach for radial-gradient first when conic would save the day?
