Shoutout to the day my CSS asteroid field finally rendered right
I spent 3 straight days last week trying to get a space scene with asteroids to look decent in pure CSS. Every single shadow and gradient was off and it looked like floating potatoes. Then around 2am Thursday I switched from border-radius to clip-path for the rocks and everything clicked into place. Has anyone else had a project suddenly come together after hours of fighting with shapes?

Mine still look like floating potatoes but now they're angry floating potatoes.

Switched to clip-path for some jagged mountain shapes in a project once and it was like a light switch flipped. Did you find it helped with performance too or just the look?
