Overheard a dev say 'CSS is just styling' and I almost choked on my coffee
I was sitting at a coworking space last Tuesday and this guy next to me was on a call saying CSS is just about picking colors and fonts. That really got me thinking. Here I spent 3 days last month making a fully animated 8-bit dragon with nothing but divs and box shadows. Like yeah CSS can style a button but it can also do way more if you push it. Has anyone else run into people who think CSS is simple?

So is that dev the kind of person who thinks a house is just a pile of wood? How long before they realize CSS handles layout, animations, and responsive design too?

My friend had a dev tell her with a straight face that CSS is "just for colors and fonts." She literally pulled up a side project on her phone and showed him a parallax header with dropdowns and animated buttons. His jaw dropped.
