Accidentally made my CSS peacock look like a deflated balloon

I was coding a colorful peacock display for a friend's birthday site in my apartment last night, but I messed up the keyframe percentages on the tail feathers and it just droops sadly. Spent two hours adjusting the transform origins before giving up and switching to a simpler gradient fade. Anyone else ever spend way too long on a single CSS animation effect that still comes out wrong?

Spent three hours trying to tweak a spinning loading icon once and it ended up looking like a wobbly plate. Used to think CSS animations were all predictable and clean but nah, sometimes they just have a mind of their own.
