Update: one prompt about a lost dog at 2am got me 8 pages in a single night, but my buddy says the boring prompts are the real gold
Last Tuesday I sat down with a prompt about finding a neighbor's dog at 2am and ended up writing 8 pages before sunrise, the easiest session I've had in months. My writing buddy swears the slow ones about grocery lists and waiting rooms are what actually builds the muscle, and he thinks chasing the big emotional prompts is just a sugar rush. So which side are you on, do you ride the prompts that hit hard or grind through the boring ones on purpose?
