That random prompt generator made my MC way too powerful

I rolled a birthday prompt that gave my character a healing touch, then realized 80% of my plot conflicts vanished because she could fix anything. Took out the power and rewrote 3 chapters in one night, but now I never give main characters game-breaking abilities unless I build the story around the cost. Anyone else ever nerf a character after letting a prompt run wild?
