That one writing prompt trick I tried actually fixed my blank page problem
I got so tired of staring at a blank screen every night, so I tried using a random news headline as the first sentence of a story. Just took the first thing I saw about a lost cat in Chicago and wrote from the cat's perspective. It unlocked something in my head, and I wrote 3 pages before I even realized it. Has anyone else found a weird trick that jumpstarts their writing when nothing works?

Read this thing online about using your non-dominant hand to write prompts. Sounds crazy right? But there's some science behind it about bypassing your inner critic. Apparently forcing yourself to write messy and slow shuts down the perfectionism that keeps you stuck. Tried it with my left hand and got a full page of garbage but at least it was garbage on paper. Got me past that initial hump and then switched back to normal writing.
