Stumbled on a stat about alt text usage that blew my mind

Found out only about 4% of websites actually include proper alt text on images and I've been skipping it on my blog for 2 years without realizing how many readers I'm missing.

dude same i went back and fixed like 50 posts last month and it was such a pain but def worth it. blind users have been missing out on so much context without it.

Yeah the 4% number is wild. I run a small site and it took me like 3 hours to go back and add alt text to all my old posts. Screen readers just say "image" without it which is basically useless for blind users.
