Pro tip: My writing got easier when I began pulling prompts from daily routines.
I used to freeze up trying to find fancy ideas for stories. Now I just look at my morning bus ride or making dinner and turn those moments into writing starters, which has filled my pages. How do you find prompts in your normal day?

Whoa, I always looked for big crazy stuff to write about... but noticing the little things like my weird neighbor's yard actually works way better.

Seriously, I get my best stuff from the grocery store checkout line. Last week, two people were bickering over avocados, and I wrote a whole scene about spies passing secrets in produce.

Wait, spies over avocados? That's wild! I would have just been annoyed at the line holding up. It's crazy how different people see the same normal thing. I get what @samj27 means about the little stuff, because my brain never goes to full spy thriller from the grocery store. Mine would be a sad story about someone buying one lonely avocado. This is a good reminder to look harder at my own boring moments.
