My laptop died right before a big writing group meeting

I was at the library in Tacoma, about to read my chapter, when the screen just went black. I had to borrow a pen and scribble the whole thing on a napkin from the cafe. Anyone ever have to present their work without any tech at all?

Come on, was it really that big a deal? People wrote whole books with just a pen for centuries. Scribbling on a napkin sounds kinda classic, actually. Your writing group is there to hear the words, not stare at a screen. I bet it went fine. Tech fails all the time, it's not the end of the world.

Guess your laptop decided to critique your work before the group could.

Whoa, wait, your laptop graded your work on its own? That's genuinely terrifying in my experience - and @keith_henderson might want to be careful romanticizing the pen and paper days when that tech glitch could've happened to anyone.
