My laptop charger died right before a writing deadline

It happened last Thursday night, about 2 hours before I needed to submit a short story. The charger just stopped working, no light, nothing. I had 12% battery left and my story was only half-finished. I ended up writing the rest on my phone, which took forever and my thumbs are still sore. It made me realize how a simple tech failure can completely change your creative process. Has anyone else had to finish a piece of writing in a weird way because of a random problem?

You said it changed your creative process. Did writing on your phone force you to keep the story simpler, maybe in a good way? I've had to do that before and it actually cut out a lot of my usual overthinking.

Thumbs still sore from that phone typing marathon. It forces you to get straight to the point when you can't see the whole page. My brain starts editing as I go on a tiny screen, cutting out the extra stuff. The pressure of a dying battery probably helped you finish faster too. Limits can be a good push sometimes, even if they hurt your fingers.
