Was the lighting setup anything special or just the standard Nashville single-bulb-on-a-stand kind of thing? I tried to get fancy with colored lights in my home studio once and ended up looking like a moody tomato on camera. Switched back to a single lamp and it was an instant improvement.

@gonzalez.phoenix I'd guess it was just a basic bulb setup honestly. The colored lights thing is a trap a lot of us fall into. I tried a cheap ring light from Amazon once and it was worse than my old desk lamp.

Wait, you went full moody tomato too? lol that's brutal. I did the exact same thing with a blue gel once and ended up looking like a Smurf who just got fired. Single bulb wins every time, man. It's the Nashville way.
