Vent: Our studio tried a 4 day work week and client deadlines got messy

We ran a test for three months and thought it would boost creativity, but a key client project almost slipped because our Friday handoff got lost. Has anyone else made a big schedule change that backfired?

So what specific systems are you talking about? Like a better project tracker or clearer meeting rules? My old team tried Asana but still had daily fire drills because the process for handling urgent requests was a mess. Just adding software never fixed the real problem.

Feel like this is a pattern everywhere not just work. I see it at the grocery store with self checkout or at the DMV with their ticket systems. People slap a digital tool on top of a broken process and expect it to magically fix everything. The real issue is usually how people communicate and handle exceptions. Software just makes the bad process happen faster. Until you sit down and map out exactly where things break and why, no tool is gonna save you.
