Tried a 4-day work week for my small studio and the client feedback got weird
We switched to a Monday through Thursday schedule last month to fight burnout. I figured we'd be less productive, but our output stayed the same. The strange part is that three different clients in the last two weeks have mentioned our emails feel 'rushed' now, even though we send them on the same days. Has anyone else seen a shift in client perception after changing your studio's rhythm?

That "rushed" feeling clients get is probably about timing, not quality. If you send a proposal on a Thursday afternoon now, they get it right before their own weekend. That feels like a Friday dump to them, like you're trying to clear your desk. Try sending the same email on a Monday morning. It lands totally different, like the start of fresh work.

My boss sends all his Friday dumps at 3 PM, stellarivera, so I guess he's an overachiever.

Wait, is that why my students' assignments always look worse on Fridays? I grade papers in batches and there's this one kid who ALWAYS turns in his essays Friday afternoon. They read like he just threw words on the page to get out of class. But last week he emailed it Monday morning and it was actually decent. Same kid, same assignment, just different day. Maybe my brain is the problem too, I'm just DONE by Friday and probably read things harsher than I should.
