That $600 deposit for the recording studio in Austin was totally worth it even though I almost backed out
My buddy Mike convinced me to commit after he said "you'll never finish that EP if you keep second-guessing the room" and now I've got three tracks mixed that actually don't sound like garbage, anyone else have a friend who talks them into the right call?

Flip it around though, what if the room's acoustics are actually masking problems in your mix that'll show up bad on every other system? I've seen people dump cash into a fancy space and end up with tracks that only sound good in that one room.
