PSA: A senior designer told me to ignore client feedback once and it backfired hard
Last month, a veteran at a studio in Portland said I should just 'trust my gut' on a logo revision for a bakery client. So I skipped their request to make the icing look less glossy. I sent the final file, got a furious email the next day, and had to redo the whole thing in 4 hours overnight. Has anyone else run into advice from experienced folks that just didn't fit the situation?

Ngl I learned that lesson the hard way too - trust your gut, unless your gut is dumb.

@robinmason nailed it. Had a senior dev tell me to "ignore the client's specs, they don't know what they want" and spent two weeks rebuilding an entire dashboard because of it.
