Our studio had a crazy good Tuesday because of a client's wild idea

A regular client walked in and asked us to make a video about his new coffee shop, but he wanted it shot like a spy movie. We spent the whole day setting up hidden cameras and doing quick cuts around the shop. By 4 PM, we had a rough cut that was actually really fun and different from our usual work. It made me wonder, has anyone else had a client request turn a normal day into something awesome?

It's funny how the best creative work often comes from a weird box a client puts you in. A local bakery asked me for "documentary style" photos but then kept moving the pastries into perfect light, which totally broke the rules. We ended up with this strange, beautiful mix of real and staged that won an award. Why do we need someone else to give us permission to break our own routines?

That coffee spy thing sounds fun but @miller.paul is right, it's just a job.
