Compared two editing studios for my podcast and one was way better

I needed to get my interview show edited fast so I tried both Studio A and Studio B in Austin. Studio A charged $150 per episode but took 5 days to get back to me with basic cuts. Studio B was $180 but they turned it around in 24 hours and actually cleaned up the background noise. Has anyone else found that paying a little more saves you headaches down the line?

Totally agree. I went with the cheaper option for my podcast once and regretted it. They missed all the ums and awkward pauses. Paying a little more for the faster turnaround and better audio cleaning is totally worth it.

Yeah, the cheap services often just do a basic noise pass. My friend @emmar75 had a similar thing happen where they left in a whole minute of her coughing. You really do get what you pay for with editing.
