Changed my mind about client meetings after a Tuesday in April
A client brought their dog to our meeting, and the whole vibe shifted from tense to productive in about 20 minutes, so now I'm thinking about a pet-friendly policy. Anyone else find a small change that totally fixed your client dynamic?

Consider the legal side of a pet policy before you commit. A simple allergy or a small bite could open up a real problem. It's a nice idea but needs some ground rules to actually work.

Ever see what happens when a "small bite" needs stitches? Our old building got sued over a dachshund that nipped a delivery guy. The policy needs a real bite rule, like any broken skin means the pet's out. Also, make people register their animal with a current rabies shot. It covers you when the owner swears their cat never goes outside.

You're right about needing ground rules, I was totally against it before. That one chill dog showed me it can work with clear limits. I'm drafting a policy now because the benefit was real.
