Can we talk about how lighting changes everything in a studio shoot?

I was struggling with flat-looking product photos for my website for months, trying different backdrops and angles. Then I grabbed a $10 clamp light from the hardware store and aimed it at the ceiling instead of the product. Why did nobody tell me bounce lighting was this much of a game changer?

Man, that's exactly how I figured it out too! I was so frustrated with my studio lights giving me harsh shadows on everything, then I accidentally tipped a desk lamp toward the white wall and was like "wait, why does my hand look so good right now?" Now I have three cheap clamp lights aimed at different corners of the room and it looks like a pro setup, even though my camera is older than my nephew's phone.

Yeah I saw a YouTube video that said the same thing, bounced light is magic for product shots.
