Pro tip: 214 picks in one shift and my hands didn't feel like they were going to fall off
Two weeks ago I ran a 60 ton Tadano all day on a tilt-up job in Fresno and my hands were wrecked by lunch from gripping the lever. A 30 year guy on the crew showed me to set the swing brake and let the load coast into place instead of feathering it the whole way with my wrist. Did that on a 214 pick day and my hands were fine by 5pm, which never happens. It also cut my cycle time because I stopped fighting the momentum. Anybody else have a trick like that for saving your body during a long pick day?
