Load chart mismatch cost me 3 hours on a 150 ton job in Houston
The rated capacities on the sticker didn't match the manual in the cab, and I burned half a shift double-checking every pick radius. Turns out the previous crew had swapped a boom section without updating the chart. Anyone else run into rigs with stale or swapped load charts?

Figure out who signed off on that boom swap in the first place, because that's the real problem here. I mean, did the previous crew just slap a new section on and figure the sticker was close enough, or did someone actually run the numbers? Cause if they swapped a boom section, that changes your moment ratings, your radius limits, everything. Did you check if the serial number on the boom even matched the chart that was in the cab, or was it just the sticker that was old? I'd be curious if the manual was newer than the sticker, cause that tells you which one to trust next time. Honestly, three hours is cheap compared to what could've happened if you'd trusted the wrong chart on a heavy pick.
