Installing a new AC unit had me using crane signals with my wife
We were putting in a heavy window unit on the second floor. I had her use hand signals to guide me, just like on a real site. It worked great and made me think about how we bring job skills home.

Oh, absolutely. My partner really noticed when I started keeping my work tools and projects put away at the end of the day. She said it made our space feel like ours again, not an extension of the job. That simple act of separating work from home life meant a lot more than I thought it would. It showed I was present, and that was the real win.

Honestly that's kind of brilliant. I mean, why waste good training? Next time you need to move the couch you can have her flag you in. Just don't start charging her union dues for the home projects, that might be taking it a step too far.
