Balancing loads on uneven ground (it's a real pain, you know?)

Check the ground first to see how bad it is. Uneven spots make loads tilt and things can fall over easy. You end up moving the weight around a lot just to keep it steady. It takes slow, careful work to get everything sitting right. I often use scrap wood pieces to prop up wobbly corners, but that adds more steps. Really, the key is accepting it will be slow and fussy.

Why is it that we jump right into the hard part without looking at the basics first? @davidfoster is right about checking the ground, and it applies to so much else. You see this when people start projects without reading the instructions or skip warming up before exercise. It always leads to more hassle later because you have to fix avoidable mistakes. That extra time at the start saves a ton of struggle, but we still rush. It's like we're wired to ignore the simple stuff until it bites us.
