A veteran operator in Philly told me my two-blocking prevention was just a crutch, so I spent a month relearning hand signals without it.

He said 'You're letting the computer think for you' and now I actually watch the load, not the screen, which is way harder but feels more solid, anyone else forced themselves to ditch a safety aid to get better?

Reminds me of when my dad made me learn stick shift on his old truck. He covered the gear pattern on the knob with tape so I had to feel it out. Stalled it a bunch at first, but now I can drive anything without even thinking.

That's the real way to learn, for sure.

My dad tried that with me and I think I stalled his car like ten times in one intersection.
