Spent 6 hours chasing a 1px gap in my hand coded icon set, and I blame the grid
Last Thursday I sat down to finish my 24 icon set, all drawn on a 24x24 grid in Figma, then hand exported as SVG paths. Six icons looked fine in the browser but every single star and shield had a 1px sliver on the left edge that only showed up at 16px. I zoomed in at 800% and found the path points were landing on 11.5 and 23.5 instead of whole numbers, because I built half the set from a 48px artboard. Nudging every point by .5 fixed it, but I lost a whole evening to something a simple pixel grid rule would have stopped. Does anyone here actually disable sub pixel alignment, or do you just fix it after export like me?
