A guy at a Portland type meetup said my kerning tool felt 'too smart' and he was right
Back in 2019 I built a little script that auto-adjusted spacing based on letter pair guesses, and I was pretty proud of it. He told me straight up that it made every font feel the same because I was skipping the part where my eyes do the work. Now I want to know, do you let your tools make the call or do you still nudge each pair by hand?

My kerning script was so smart it single handedly made every font look like Times New Roman.
