TIL a simple thing at a site in Everett saved us a ton of rework

We were doing a walkthrough on a new apartment block in Everett and the concrete guys had already poured a section of slab. The lead foreman, Mike, pointed out they'd missed a single conduit stub-up for a future floor outlet. Instead of cutting it in later, we had them break out a small area right then, set the conduit, and repour. It took an extra hour that day but saved what would have been a full day of core drilling and patching later. Anyone else have a small fix that turned out to be a huge time saver?

How did you get everyone on board for the extra hour right then? On my last site, getting the concrete crew to stop and fix something they already poured would have been a huge fight over the change order.

Had a friend say the same thing @roberts.jesse, they just bribed the crew with free coffee.
