The blueprint mismatch that cost us $4,800 in rework last month in Denver
We had a commercial build in Denver last month where the architect's PDF showed a 36 inch wide corridor, but the structural drawings said 32 inches. My foreman caught it during framing, but by then we'd already set the steel studs and run the MEP rough-ins. The owner backed the architect, so we had to tear out two walls and re-run the ductwork, which added a week and $4,800 in labor and materials. Turns out the architect updated the PDF but never sent the revision log to the GC. Has anyone else had to eat the cost when the drawings conflict and the owner picks the wrong one?
