Swapped a weekly paper trail for a shared digital log on our last build and the superintendent stopped missing punch list items.
The paper sheets kept getting coffee stains or lost in the truck, but the iPad version let everyone see updates in real time during the morning huddle, so has anyone else made a similar switch and found it cut down on rework calls?

Wait, do you honestly think the wet clipboard behind the truck seat trick actually worked better than a digital log? I used to be the same way, I swore by paper because I figured it was less likely to glitch out on me. But after watching a coworker spend a whole afternoon hunting down a missing job card that slipped under the passenger seat, I finally gave the shared log a shot. Now I can’t imagine going back, honestly, the real-time updates saved us from having to redo a whole batch of trim work last month. It’s not perfect, but I’d take a frozen screen over a rain-soaked checklist any day lol.

Started using a shared google sheet for punch lists on my last job and it was a game changer until the foreman accidentally deleted half the entries swiping notifications. Took us two days to piece it back together from memory and photos. Still beats digging through a wet clipboard behind the truck seat though.
