OSHA fatality numbers from last year caught me off guard
I was reading through the 2024 OSHA preliminary data for my state and saw that struck-by incidents are way higher than I thought, like 15% of all construction deaths. My crew does mostly residential framing so I always worried about falls, but this made me double check our material handling and equipment spotting on site. Has anyone else looked at their local numbers and found a different risk than they expected?

That data is sobering, right? I've been in the field long enough to see the same blindspots, and it's easy to fixate on the big fall hazards while the quieter stuff sneaks up on you.
