I finally saw what 10 years of weather does to an exterior paint job

Last week I drove past a house I painted back in 2014 in Austin. The owner called me out of nowhere to ask about a touch up. When I pulled up, the south side was faded and chalky, the north side still looked decent. The difference was wild. Same paint, same house, just sun exposure and rain direction. I knew weather was a factor but seeing it side by side on one building was something else. Has anyone else gone back to an old job and been surprised by how unevenly it aged?
