Hot take: I chose poured concrete over pavers for my driveway

I had to decide between a concrete pour or interlocking pavers for a job in Phoenix last month. I went with the concrete because it was $4,200 cheaper and I figured it would hold up better in the heat. Three weeks in and I'm already seeing a crack near the garage edge - should I have just stuck with the pavers?

Sorry to hear that, man. That's rough when you try to save a bit and it bites you right away. Cracks near the edge are pretty common though, especially in Phoenix heat if the ground wasn't prepped just right.

Totally get that lol. My neighbor tried to save money by pouring his own slab last summer and the whole thing cracked right down the middle after two weeks. He had to rip it out and pay double for a pro to fix it. At least you caught it early though, that's the silver lining. Phoenix heat is no joke, I swear concrete just gives up here after like a month.
