Hit my 500th job site inspection last month without noticing
I was going through my old notebooks to clear out a drawer and found my first inspection checklist from 2011. Counted them up and it came to 498, then I realized I did two more last week. That 500 mark snuck up on me in a way I didn't expect. Made me think about how much the inspection process has changed since then, mostly for the better but some of the old ways were simpler. Anyone else have a milestone that just happened without you tracking it?

Terry_mitchell did make me laugh with the gas station thing but my notebook mystery was less about autopilot and more about how I never bothered to count in the first place... The whole process has changed so much, back in 2011 I was still using paper forms and actual clipboards, now it's all tablets and cloud storage which is fine but sometimes I miss the simplicity. The 500 mark just kind of crept up on me, kind of like how @terry_mitchell probably didn't realize he'd hit 300 fill ups until he started counting either.

500 job sites without noticing? That's like waking up and realizing you've driven the same commute for ten years on autopilot. I hit a similar wall when I found out I'd filled up my gas tank 300 times at the same station without ever once looking at the price, which is either impressive or deeply sad. Your notebook discovery sounds like a detective solving their own boring mystery. At least you didn't find a 2011 memo you forgot to sign, that would be the real kicker.
