Had a Monday that just would not quit on a job site near Spokane

We were trying to pour a slab for a small warehouse and the concrete truck showed up 2 hours late, then we realized the rebar wasn't tied right in one corner. On top of that, my foreman called in sick and the temp guy kept asking me where the blueprints were every 10 minutes. Has anyone else had a day where everything went wrong before 10 AM?

That line "Monday that just would not quit" really hits home... I've noticed more and more that when one thing goes wrong, it's like the universe decides to pile on. It's not just construction either, seems like every job and every day has this domino effect where one small mistake just unravels everything else around it. Maybe it's just people getting more distracted or rushed than they used to be... but I swear these days you can't count on any single part of a plan to actually work. The temp guy asking about blueprints every ten minutes is classic too... nobody wants to just figure something out anymore, they all want you to hold their hand through it.

Haha yeah I just read something about this actually, there was this study talking about how back to back problems actually mess with your brain's ability to prioritize. It's like once the first thing goes wrong your brain just starts panicking and then everything else follows. And @grant569 you're totally right about the hand holding thing, I swear some people just want you to do the thinking for them. Like the temp guy could have looked at those blueprints once and figured it out, but instead he'd rather ask you ten times. It's exhausting honestly, makes a rough Monday even worse.
