Had a client insist on using paper schedules instead of digital. Thought it was a joke. But after 3 months on a 50 unit apartment build I'm starting to see the point.

Project manager on this one usually runs everything through Procore. Client is an older guy who built his first houses in the 80s. He asked for printed schedules taped up in the trailer and a whiteboard for changes. I fought it for two weeks. Then I noticed the framers and electricians actually walked over and looked at the board during lunch instead of ignoring the tablet in the corner. Foreman said he doesn't like scrolling through apps on a dusty jobsite. Can't argue with that. Anyone else dealt with a client demand that turned out not to be as dumb as you thought?

The whiteboard trick works wonders for visual people but have you ever tried using a magnet board instead? They sell those big adhesive magnetic sheets at craft stores, you can cut them to size and stick them anywhere. That way you can rearrange notes and lists without erasing everything, plus you can color code with different marker colors.
