Ditched my paper punch list for a tablet app after a 3-hour rain delay
I used to walk every single job with a grease-stained legal pad and a golf pencil. Two weeks ago we had a sudden downpour on a 12-unit apartment site in Tulsa, and the whole thing turned into wet confetti in my hands. Switched to a ruggedized tablet with a simple checklist app, and now I can mark drywall issues even when it's pouring. Has anyone else had a total paper meltdown that forced them to go digital?

Honestly, have you thought about how that tablet handles the temperature swings on site? I run into issues where my phone just shuts off in the Oklahoma heat, and I'd worry the same thing happens with a work tablet in a metal tool box. Ngl, losing a whole punch list to water damage is brutal, but swapping out a dead battery in the sun sounds just as bad. Tbh, picking the right rugged tablet for your climate is almost as important as the app itself.

Man, you hit it on the head. I left my tablet in the truck bed last July in Texas and came back to a black screen with a blinking red light, never recovered.
