Went to a national park and found a hidden antenna array in the woods
I was hiking through Shenandoah last month and stumbled on this clearing with three big antennas hidden behind some trees. No markings, no signs, just a locked fence and a humming noise. Anyone else run into weird government setups out in the middle of nowhere?

Did you try looking up the coordinates on Google Maps satellite view later? That's how I found out my spot was a NOAA weather station, just totally unmarked from the ground. The humming is usually the HVAC for the equipment inside...

Just checked the electrical grid map for that area. Sometimes those humming sounds come from buried high-voltage transmission lines that run right under the dirt roads. The utility companies don't always mark them well on public records.
