Watched a whole documentary on the moon landing and they missed the biggest clue

They kept focusing on the flag waving, but the real issue is the lack of stars in the photos from the surface. That's basic photography, you can't fake that in a vacuum. Anyone else notice this specific detail?

Have you ever tried taking a picture of stars from a bright place? The lunar surface was in full, harsh sunlight, and the cameras were set for that. They needed fast shutter speeds so the astronauts and the bright ground weren't just white blobs. Those settings just aren't right for picking up faint stars, it's like trying to see a candle next to a spotlight. Basic photography actually explains why they aren't there.
