Update: I used to think the whole '5G causes health issues' thing was total nonsense

Honestly, I saw all those posts and just rolled my eyes, figured it was classic fear-mongering. Then my cousin, who installs cell towers in Phoenix, told me about the specific safety protocols they have to follow around the new millimeter wave gear that they never needed with 4G. He said the training manual literally has a section on 'controlled exposure zones' because of the higher frequency. It made me pause and actually look up the tech specs myself. Has anyone else had a moment where a conspiracy theory started to seem a bit less crazy after talking to someone in the actual industry?

Remember when that big solar flare hit in 2012 and messed with GPS for a week. I mean, if a natural space weather event can do that, maybe the backorder is because someone's quietly upgrading the shielding. They'd need a lot more aluminum foil for a new satellite mesh or something. Just feels like the timing is weird with all the new orbital junk cleanup projects starting up.
