Update: I just hit 500 hours researching the Philadelphia Experiment and I'm not sure what to believe anymore

I mean, I used to be totally convinced it was a real WWII Navy project to make a ship invisible. But after digging through so many declassified documents from the National Archives, I found zero proof of any 'Project Rainbow'. The sheer number of hours I spent, 500 exactly, just made me realize I was chasing a story that got twisted over time. Has anyone else put serious research into a conspiracy only to have the facts fall apart?

Chasing a story that got twisted" is exactly how I felt too.

Man, it happens all the time now. You hear a piece of news, tell a friend, and by the time it gets back to you the facts are totally wrong. It feels like the truth is just getting harder to pin down, even in small talk.
