That time I caught myself arguing with a friend about chemtrails for 3 hours
I was deep into a debate about how planes were spraying aluminum oxide to control the weather, and my buddy just asked if I had ever actually checked what those streaks were made of. Looked it up later that night and realized it was just normal contrails from humidity and exhaust, felt like an idiot for wasting all that time. Has anyone else had a moment where you realized you were pushing a theory hard without actually looking at the basic facts first?

Man, did you actually fact check anything else while you were down that rabbit hole or just that one specific thing?

Oh, you know me, I just pick one thing and run with it. It's like when someone tells you their new diet works and you check if they've eaten anything green this century.
