That day I got a $35 parking ticket and it actually saved me from a bigger mess
Okay so I was at that big conspiracy talk downtown last Tuesday, the one about the JFK files. I parked in this lot that looked fine but had some tiny sign about permit only after 5pm. I came back to a ticket on my windshield. I was pretty mad, but then I walked over to my car and noticed a guy had busted out my passenger window and grabbed my gym bag. The ticket guy must have scared him off because nothing else was missing, just my sweaty towel and some loose change. So I guess the ticket was a weird win? Has anyone else had something stupid like a parking ticket accidentally help them out?

Happened to me last year with a tow truck actually. I parked in a spot that I was SURE was legal but apparently it was a fire lane or something, got towed. I was fuming, had to pay like 200 bucks to get my car back from the lot. Then I found out later that night there was a massive flood in that area, like a pipe burst and wrecked like 8 cars that were parked there. My car would have been totaled for sure. Still made me mad at the time but looking back it was a weird blessing in disguise lol. The universe works in mysterious ways I guess, just not in a way that saves you money.

2 hundred bucks stung but dodging a totaled car is wild. It's like the universe kicks you in the wallet to save your whole situation later. I swear I notice that more and more, the annoying small stuff is just setting you up for something bigger you can't see yet.
