PSA: I watched a moon landing hoax debate at a coffee shop in Reno and the guy who changed my mind was the quiet one
Last week I sat through a 2 hour argument at a spot on Virginia Street where this loud guy kept yelling about shadows and flag waves. The whole room was nodding until a retired welder in the corner asked one question about camera exposure settings and suddenly nobody had an answer. I went home and looked up how many people worked on Apollo, and the number 400,000 kept coming up in every source I checked. Now I ask people what evidence would actually change their mind before I even start talking. Has anyone else noticed the person who talks the least in these arguments is usually the one who read the most?
