Overheard a guy at a coffee shop say the moon landing was faked in a Hollywood studio
He was dead serious, talking about how Stanley Kubrick shot it on a soundstage and that's why the shadows don't align right. I looked into the shadow thing later and it's actually just light bouncing off the lunar surface, not some big coverup. Anyone else run into this kind of argument and have a simple way to debunk it without getting into a whole physics lecture?

Isn't it funny how people will believe a complicated secret plot over a simple explanation from their own eyes?

My buddy caught a literal meteor on his dashcam and someone still told him it was a government drone.

Oh man, I feel you on this. It's frustrating when people latch onto a tiny detail like shadows and spin it into a whole conspiracy instead of just looking up the straightforward science behind it. I've had coworkers try to bring this stuff up during lunch breaks, and it's tough because you don't want to argue forever but you also don't want to let bad info just sit there.
