Overheard a guy at a coffee shop say the moon landing faked photos are 'too clean' and it got me thinking
I was sitting in a Starbucks in Denver last Tuesday, and this guy was talking to his friend about how the moon landing photos have no stars in the background. He said that's proof they were staged in a studio. At first I thought it was just another internet rabbit hole, but then I looked it up later. Turns out the camera settings for bright lunar surface would wash out dim stars, so it actually makes sense. What really got me though was how confident he sounded with just that one detail. Makes me wonder how many other conspiracy theories hinge on one simple fact that gets taken out of context. Has anyone else run into that one specific argument about the stars and found a good way to explain it?

Just ask them why the flag moves when there's no wind in a vacuum.

My buddy tried that one at a family dinner and the guy just stared at him for a solid 10 seconds before changing the subject completely. It was like watching a computer blue screen in real time.
