My uncle swore the JFK files would change my mind, so I spent a weekend reading them

He's been deep into that theory for years and told me the 2017 release would prove a second shooter. I went through about 300 pages from the National Archives site, focusing on the CIA memos. Honestly, most of it was just old bureaucratic chatter and didn't really show what he said it would. Has anyone else actually dug into those documents and come away feeling the same?

Your uncle sounds like mine. People get so invested in these theories they see proof in anything. Those files are mostly boring government paperwork, not some smoking gun. It's wild how much time we spend looking for secrets when the simple answer is usually right there. Maybe the real conspiracy is how these stories keep us hooked for years.

Right? I mean my cousin got deep into that stuff too and it's exactly like that. You start seeing patterns in every little thing. Maybe we just want the world to be more interesting than it really is.

Totally get what you mean about wanting the world to be more interesting. I was the same way for a long time, always looking for the hidden story. Then I actually read one of those full document dumps, the boring stuff Wyatt mentioned. It was hundreds of pages of meeting notes about office supplies. That was the big change for me. You realize most secrets are just people doing very normal, very dull jobs.
