DAE notice how the 'flat earth' crowd always pivots to NASA budget numbers when you corner them on basic physics?

I was arguing with one last week and he kept repeating the $22.6 billion NASA got in 2020 like it was some gotcha, completely ignoring how that money gets divided across thousands of projects and contractors.

Oh man, that reminds me of a guy I knew who was convinced the moon landings were fake because of the flag "waving." He spent like an hour explaining the physics of a vacuum to me, which he clearly didn't understand, while ignoring the simple fact the flag was just wrinkled from being packed. Some people just latch onto one number or fact and build their whole argument around it.

Ugh, that flag thing drives me nuts. It's like they saw one clip and stopped thinking. What gets me is how they ignore all the other proof, like the mirrors left up there that scientists still bounce lasers off of today. Why do you think people get so stuck on one detail like that instead of looking at the whole picture?

But maybe that laser mirror proof is just as easy to fake if the whole thing was staged, idk.
