Can we talk about how cable news covers plane crashes now?
I used to just watch the regular news for updates on stuff like that... but after the Delta flight 4819 incident in Toronto back in February, I noticed every channel was running the same shaky cell phone footage for hours. Now they bring on these retired pilots to speculate about engine failure before anyone even investigates. Has anyone else picked up on how the narrative shifts before facts come out?

Spun up a whole conspiracy theory before the black box was even read.

...and it's not just plane crashes either, it's like this with everything now. My neighbor's kid got into a minor fender bender last week and before the police even showed up, the whole street had spun it into this big hit-and-run drama based on one blurry Ring clip. It's the same pattern everywhere, not just on TV - everybody jumps to conclusions with half the facts and runs with it. We've all gotten so used to getting the story before it's confirmed, it's like we forgot how to wait and see what actually happened.
