A chat with a guy at a Denver bus stop about the moon landing
I was waiting for the bus last Tuesday and this older guy started talking about the Apollo missions. He said, 'You ever notice how the flag waves in a vacuum?' and went into this whole thing about studio lighting. He wasn't angry, just really sure. It stuck with me because he was so calm about it. Has anyone else had a casual talk like that that made you actually look something up?

Funny how those random chats stick with you. Had a guy at a diner once explain how birds aren't real, just government drones. Sounded so sincere I had to google it later. The internet is a weird place.

Man, that's the scary part. They sound so sure of themselves that you start to doubt basic facts. It really shows how easy it is to spread wild ideas.
